Memory Loss, from Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia, is a common illness for us all.

Our Mission:

EqualityinDementiaCare.org is an educational guide created to bridge the healthcare equality gap in Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia for underserved, minority communities. Minorities are one and a half to two times more likely than whites to develop a dementing illness and are in need of focused attention to lower this risk. Columbus Memory Center is making it a priority to reach underserved communities through outreach initiatives and local partnership.

Race, Ethnicity, and Alzheimer’s

Findings from the Alzheimer’s Association reveal that non-white populations experience discrimination when accessing dementia care.
